The Ann S. Bowers Women’s Brain Health Initiative is an endowed research consortium headquartered at UC Santa Barbara. Our mission is to accelerate the pace of discovery for women's brain health across the lifespan. Our approach is profoundly collaborative, bringing together world-class talent in neuroimaging, computer science and healthcare from 10+ institutions. This "science first, ego last" ethos dissolves scientific and institutional silos.

The Bowers WBHI is harnessing the combined power of the University of California, Stanford, Cornell, and global collaborators to generate the most comprehensive and inclusive collection of imaging data ever acquired for women's health. We are driven by a radically simple belief: When we study women, breakthroughs happen and lives get better.
