WBHI selected for Wellcome Leap CARE program

The WBHI investigators Kaitlin Casaletto (UCSF), Emily Jacobs (UCSF), Judy Pa (UCSD), Rachel Buckley (Harvard), Liisa Galea (CAMH), and Claudia Barth were selected to be part of the inaugural cohort of the Cutting Alzheimer’s Risk through Endocrinology (CARE) project, a new Wellcome Leap Program in Women’s Health. 

Through a $50M investment, CARE aims to cut the lifetime risk of Alzheimer’s among women by half, reducing risk for 330 million women globally – and, given current conversion rates, preventing 54.5 million Alzheimer’s cases by 2050.
