A spotlight on hormones and the cerebrovascular system

Dr. Melissa E. Wright is a postdoctoral research associate at Cardiff University, Wales, based in Prof. Kevin Murphy’s lab. She first studied BSc Psychology at Aston University, before joining Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) for her postgraduate studies. Since starting her postdoc, she has used multidisciplinary techniques to investigate how hormone states influence vascular and neural health across the eye and brain. She was a STEM for Britain 2024 finalist, has presented her work at the Every Woman festival, and sits on the Society for Endocrinology science committee.
