Proteomics Link Menopause to Brain Aging and Dementia Risk

Madeline Wood Alexander is a PhD candidate in the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program at Sunnybrook Research Institute and the University of Toronto. Her research integrates biofluid proteomics, advanced bioinformatics, clinicopathological approaches, and multi-modal neuroimaging to understand how female-specific biological processes contribute to later life brain aging and risk for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
