Menopause, Its Symptoms, and Implications for Women’s Heart and Brain Health
Dr. Rebecca Thurston is Assistant Dean for Women’s Health Research, Pittsburgh Foundation Chair of Women’s Health and Dementia, Professor of Psychiatry, and Director of the Center for Women’s Biobehavioral Health at the University of Pittsburgh.
Research at the Center for Women’s Biobehavioral Health is aimed at understanding and enhancing women’s health as they age. CWBH research focuses on menopause and its symptoms, trauma and other psychosocial experiences, and cardiovascular and brain health. CWBH studies include epidemiologic investigations, clinical studies, remote health monitoring and and novel interventions to improve quality of life with aging.
